DELF Prim / Junior
For children aged 8 to 12 years DELF Prim is the first level in the DELF / DALF series of certificates awarded by the French Ministry of Education for proficiency in French as a Foreign Language. DELF Prim is intended for children who are beginners in French as a Foreign Language and who are either undertaking studies corresponding to the French elementary level or are the right age to undertake such studies under the regulations applicable in their country. Successful candidates receive a certificate identical to the general public version. Please note there is no DALF Prim (C1 and C2). Here are some examples of sample exam papers to give you an idea of what your child can expect. You can also check the CIEP website to learn more about the exam. |
DELF Scolaire
For students aged 13 to 18 years. DELF Scolaire is run in conjunction with Nelson/Tasman schools so registration is through students' French teacher. We do help examine and administer this examination. DELF tout public
For adults There is no time limit to the validity of the diplomas. The diplomas are independent and the top levels of the DALF give access to all French universities and to an ever growing number of European and francophone universities, eliminating the need for pre-admission French language tests. Both the DELF and the DALF diplomas are ideal additions to your resumés as their quality is recognised all over the world, notably by French and European employers. There are six different levels for Adults (Tout public) and four different levels for children (12 to 18 years). Here are some sample exam papers to give you an idea of what to expect. You can also check the CIEP website to learn more about the exam. |
