🕑 10am 📍ABEL TASMAN NATIONAL PARK. The next walk will be what is now our annual April visit to Abel Tasman National Park. Come and enjoy the jewel in our own backyard before the winter, and before the park café closes for the season!
We'll walk from the park entrance at Marahau to Stilwell Bay and return, about 2 hours each way, with a picnic at the beach - and a free Easter egg for anyone who has a swim. The track is almost all flat, but if you'd prefer a shorter walk, some prefer to stop at Appletree Bay (about 1.5 hours each way) and await our return on the beach there. The walk will start at 10am Sunday 12 April. Please allow at least 1 hour 10 minutes for the drive from central Nelson, and from experience don't rely on cell phone coverage to warn me if you're running late! Paul intend to arrive at the Park Cafe (at the park entrance) no later than 9.20am so he can enjoy a coffee first. If you arrive at 10am for a coffee first, you'll be left behind! The café will also be open after our walk. Conversation in French is encouraged, and all are welcome whatever your level! Please RSVP by return email or via helloclub, definitely 2 days minimum beforehand if you would like to participate in carpooling. Please feel free to suggest a walk or area we should discover.
