🕑 10am 📍Headquarters café The next walk will be on Sunday July 19, starting at 10am, for the Brightwater Twin Rivers Walk.
We'll meet outside the Headquarters café in the main street (Ellis St) for a 7.5km walk taking around 2 hours. It's a very pleasant walk, mostly beside the Wai-iti and then the Waimea rivers, perfect if we get a sunny winter morning (but dress warmly). The track itself is straightforward except for occasional stony sections and clambering over fences a couple of times around washouts, the latter the result of last year's floods. We'll finish back at the café for coffee and/or lunch. Please register by return email or through the AFNT site. Transport can likely be arranged if registration is at least 3 days in advance. Please feel free to suggest a walk or area we should discover.
